Choosing between a Level 2 and Level 3 First Aid Qualification

Choosing between any Level 2 or Level 3 course can be challenging, particularly where you are not limited by any pre-qualifications you may have.

Of course, Level 3 is a higher level course that, in effect, will help you become further qualified, while a Level 2 course may be enough for the level of first aid you need.

First Aid Courses for Work

Sometimes it’s unclear which qualification is best suited to a specific place of work, and deciding how much money to spend on a higher level of first aid can be challenging, as well as thinking about the outcome and what you will be qualified to do.

HABC Level 2 First Aid at Work Course

The HABC Level 2 First Aid at Work Course is a course that ensures all of our learners develop the advanced skills and knowledge that will enable them to react quickly and efficiently in an emergency situation.

Our Level 2 first aid course is industry-specific and tailored to suit the group of learners. The cost of the course is £60 per person (£50 per person in group bookings).

The qualification is a one-day course, with 6 hours of tutor contact time. The course covers basic first aid including CPR, how to deal with bleeds, shock, the recovery position, applying bandages, fainting, and the general role of a first aider.

HABC Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (QCF)

The HABC Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work is one of our most popular first aid courses. Learners will study first aid in an in-depth fashion, over three training days, and it can be tailored to suit specific industries.

At First Aid Course, we are proud to provide the HABC Level 3 course at an affordable price. It costs only £175 per person (£160 per person in group bookings).

The Level 3 qualification includes 18 hours with a tutor and covers two first aid units. Unit 1 consists of the Level 2 course content.

Unit 2 is called the ‘Recognition and Management of Illness and Injury in the Workplace’. It covers first aid for more complex injuries such as fractures, anaphylaxis, concussion, spinal injuries, poisoning, burns, eye injuries, and major illnesses, including heart attacks and strokes.
